Caricature . . .

Here's my caricature.

Tonight was Liz's birthday party, and it was amazing.

I almost forgot how much I love all of my friends.

It's nice to be home . . .

Got home and hungout with a bunch of friends that I haven't seen in forever.

Ethan got a new puppy, his name is River. It reminded me of River Phoenix, so I named his kennel The Viper Room.

Later on I went to Angela's birthday party and hungout with everyone around the fire.

Leaving Cali . . .

Today we left California.

It was kind of sad because I met so many new friends and I wasn't really ready to go home.

All in all, this has been the best Spring Break Ever, hands down.

The photo is of Martin, our bus driver.

Santa Monica is full of homeless people . . .

We went to the boardwalk in Santa Monica today.

It was really cool being on a real boardwalk.

We hungout on the beach, walked around the pier, and Richie, Chris, and I explored a bit deeper into Santa Monica and found a cool comic store.

After Santa Monica we did a tour of Hollywood and all the stereotypical tourist traps in LA.

It was alot of fun, but our tour guide sucked. After she left, our bus driver corrected her for about a half an hour.

For dinner we went to Citywalk at Universal Studios. We rented out a whole restaurant and had a latin band playing just for us. IT was funny because by the end of dinner Dan Bretz and Joshua Taliaferro were up on stage playing with them.

A few of us got caricatures done, and I honestly have never laughed that hard. Damion, the artist, had to stop drawing because we were making him laugh so hard. He had trouble drawing me because I was laughing so hard that I couldn't sit on the chair anymore.

Favorite Parts of the Day:

Seeing the premire of Blades of Glory

Seeing The Viper Room

Watching Chris trying to kick pigeons

Crying with laughter while we were getting our caricatures done

Disneyland: The Second Day.

Today the choir performed at Disneyland. We sounded pretty good.

Afterwards we had the whole day to ourselves in Disneyland again.

This time we were on the California Adventure side, and we rode all the rides there.

It was another fun-filled day, and was definately as good as the prior.

Favorite Parts of the Day:

Riding Tower of Terror with 20 amazing friends

Laughing hysterically all day

Feeling like a kid again

Spending some quality time with my family.

Disneyland: The First Day.

Today we went to Disneyland.

I can't really remember the specifics, but it was a blast.

I haven't had this much fun in a long time. We Rode ALL the rides, ran around, and created some amazing memories!

San Diego Wildlife Park is my childhood dissapointment . . .

Ever since I was a young lad I had a strong obsession with animals.

My favorite station was Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. Every sunday I would watch Discovery Kids and be amazed at all the the game shows that they held at San Diego Wildlife Park.

One of my dreams was to one day go here and experience this first hand.

Bad move.

This place was tacky, small, and it barely had any animals at all. I was crushed.

After my childhood dreams were beaten, smashed, and urinated on, we went to Old Town San Diego.

Old Town was pretty cool, it was a bit like Mexico. There were a lot of little shops and booths were you could buy things and get something to eat.

After Old Town, we went to Buca Di Beppo's for dinner.

Putting 180+ high schoolers in one room to eat is the stupidest idea anyone has ever had.

I know what hell is like . . . I had an epiphany.

Favorite Parts of the Day:

The weather

Getting stuck behind a crippled lady for about 3 flights of stairs.

The Photobooth.

::EDIT::

What does Chris and that plant both have in common? . . . Erectile disfunction!!!!

San Diego State Universtiy and Sea World . . .

Today we rose bright and early, to catch breakfast at the hotel buffet.

Hotel buffets are the best, even though you feel like going into a food-induced coma afterwards.

After breakfast we went to San Diegeo State University for a choir clinic. SDSU is a beautiful campus, so Julia, Mark, Nate, and I spent most of our time there exploring and relaxing in the sun.

There were alot of snails . . . (I hope you like them Julia).

After SDSU, we stopped at Jack-in-the-Box for lunch (I ate at 7eleven).

We then boarded the busses and went to Seaworld. Seaworld is the hoakiest, cheesiest, and fake amusement park I have ever been too (Until I went to Disneyland and San Diego Wildlife Park the next day.)

THERE ARE LIKE 10 FREAKING SHAMUS!

How can there be mulitple whales with the same name? Are they like stunt doubles? Do they fill in for eachother beacuse of orca labor laws?

anyway, Shamu is a phoney and I hope all 10 of them get Orca AIDS.

Favorite Parts of the Day:

Chris's fetish with bitch slapping a dolphin

Petting bat rays

STURGEON DUH NUH NUH NUH (you had to be there)

California!

Today was the first day of my California trip.

The day began with my father dragging me out of bed at 4:30 am. I dunno if you know my dad, but you don't want to be dragged out of bed by him.

I arrived at the school and immediately fell asleep on the bus until we got to O'hare.

Once we were at O'hare I started to wake up a bit. We had about two hours to roam the terminal for food, books, or whatever.

The flight was four hours, but I got an impressive amount of reading done and the flight was relaxing.

We landed in LAX and immediately jumped on a coach bus to go eat at the Farmer's Market in LA. This was when we first met our tour guide, Ben (AKA Smiley).

Let me tell you something about Smiley . . . he sucks.

After we ate we baorded the busses and embarked on a 3 hour drive to San Diego (it was supposed to be 2 hourse, but LA traffic is probably the worst thing ever invented.)

We got to our hotel and had a little bit of practice, followed by a dip in the pool.

My Favorite part of the night: Richie reinacting 300 at the pool.

More skating and a great night to follow . . .

Alrighty, hopefully this will be enough to hold you guys over for the week.

I leave for California in a few hours, and I am excited, to say the least.

I plan on getting a bunch of great photos while I am there.

Today was one of the greatest days ever. After school I hungout at Frank's with a bunch of friends (the frisbee photos are of my friend Max, who is one of the greatest people you will ever meet)

Later I brought my camera along while my good friends Tim, Chris, and Dally went skating (I hope you like the pictures Chris, I tried the best I could for you). these kids are great skaters, and I hope to shoot again with them soon.

Later in the evening I went to Lizabeast's house to hangout and say my final goodbyes. I meant everything I said to everyone there, I really do love you guys.

Ok, I need to get some sleep, California . . . HERE I COME!

Packing . . .

I don't have much time to write because I have to pack for California.

I leave on Friday!

Panoramic . . .

I am in love with this panoramic I shot today.

The only drawback is that the software I am using is a trial so they have to put their little logo throughout my photo.

The best way to view this is to click on the thumbnail.

Skating and Portraits . . .

Hungout with Tim and Angela today.

Angela needed some self-portraits for her art class so we went to the park to find some cool shots.

I have been dying to get some skating shots, so having Tim come along was great practice. I got a feel for what it's like to shoot skateboarding, so hopefully Tim will let me go with him next time he goes to a skate park or wherever those skater kids go.

Lubbs . . .

I was sitting at my desk, contemplating on what I would take a picture of today, when I got a phone call from my good friend, Caleb.

Turned out that he needed a picture of himself for a self-portrait he had to draw in art.

It's funny how sometimes, no matter how trivial, fall right into your lap the second you need them.
